Pure Cosmic Bop and Cassettes

As some may already know we are playing at Pure Cosmic Bop at the Blue Shamrock in Lowell, MA. Hosted by Seth Balin and The Riverhawk Party Band it is a gathering of musical liking from the Lowell area and expanding from other places. It'll be a fun time!

As for the Cassette tapes, they are a work in progress. The cassette cases are finished now we need to work on the actual tapes themselves. Stay tuned for a release show!

Show at 119 February 7th

We will be playing a gig Saturday, February 7th from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m. at the 119 Gallery In Lowell, MA featuring Met City and Trashboat.

Cassette Tapes In Progress

On the latest news we will be putting together Chill City Icon tapes for sale in the near future. We have the recordings we need that will be on the tapes now its a matter of dealing with artwork, duplication, and so on. We will keep posted for any news regarding that as well as shows after the new year!

The Official Blog!

Welcome to the official Chill City Icon blog where you will find information pertaining to the group such as footage, images, and upcoming shows. Chill City Icon is an experimental noise, electro-acoustic duo, along with a live artist, based out of Lowell, MA. Our intent is not to create musical compositions, but rather a cacophony of sounds produced by a rhythmic collaborative between Travis Hagan and Kevin Dacey, which are structured in a formula that may stimulate or disrupt the senses. The methods to achieve such sounds for Chill City Icon are varied, and the use of custom built electronics are used in order to create the sounds necessary for each performance. During every set the artist, Brett Mason, will draw or paint based on the audible sensations that occurs around him. Nothing is ever planned, the art reflects the fleeting moments of sound, creating a visual dialogue with every set that is played.

We are working on a cassette release with a collection of recordings from recent shows so stay tuned for that!
